Could this be the wedding ring of the future?

This product is designed to exchange basic information with new people in the first meeting by shaking hands. The most essential part of a nomadic life is frequent travel, and nowadays, people are traveling more often and more easily. Increasing opportunities to travel indicate increasing opportunities of meeting new people, and expanding your social network.

Shaking hands is a customary greeting action. Handshake brings the action one step further by creating an information transfer function. Handshake operates when people first meet and shake hands, and the rings on their fingers gain the proximity to operate. The rings exchange the users’ information and store it while the users are shaking hands. The more people met, the more information transferred. When the users browse through the people they have met, the card displays the basic information that was stored in the ring. The power source originates from the human body temperature, so no plug is required.

The design for the Olympic Stadium in Beijing looks like a bird’s nest. In reality it is an ingenious structure of concrete ribbons draped over one another. The basic form of a stadium, which has changed little since the Coliseum, is still recognizable, but the aesthetic is totally new. It must be completed in 2008 for the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.

Bird’s nest
The new National Stadium is located on a gentle rise in the centre of the Olympic complex. It is conceived as a large collective vessel. The stadiums appearance is pure structure. Façade and structure are identical. The structural elements mutually support each other and converge into a grid-like formation - like a bird’s nest with its interwoven twigs.

Membrane
The structural elements mutually support each other and converge into a spatial grid-like formation, in which façades, stairs and the roof are integrated. Just as birds stuff the spaces between the woven twigs of their nests with a soft filler, the spaces in the structure of the stadium will be filled with light material. There are two layers of translucent membranes: an outer layer fills the spaces in the structure of the stadium to make the roof weatherproof and an inner layer acts as an acoustic ceiling inside the roof structure, giving the bowl a smooth and homogeneous appearance. The sliding roof is an integral part of the structure of the stadium. When it is closed, it converts the stadium into a covered arena. With its own structural logic, it is also a grid-like formation that forms a waterproof shell together with the translucent membranes.

Crowd
Visitors walk through this formation and enter the spacious ambulatory that runs full circle around the stands. From there one can survey the circulation of the entire area including the stairs that access the three tiers of the stands. Functioning like an arcade or a concourse, the lobby is a covered urban space with restaurants and stores. The stands are designed without any interruption to evoke the image

The Ring House is wrapped in rings of glass and wood and has an uninterrupted 360-degree view of the forest. In an area that was dark, on uneven land and with no neightbours this plot of land was originally unmarkable. But TNA Architects were undeterred by the conditions and set about designing the house. TNA designed rings around the facade so that areas of private space and utilities could be met. The height of each ring was decided by the function concealed behind it. The glass between the rings allow you to look straight into the forest, so the whole house appears to dissolve into the forest. Built on Owners’ Hill, a resort in the Karuizawa forest near Tokyo, Ring House occupies one of the hundred or so plots set aside for city dwellers to build weekend retreats.

Everybody has already get accustomed to the fact that almost all modern devices are made of metal, plastic and glass. These materials are considered to be synonyms of the “high-tech” word because they help devices to look stylish and up-to-date. In spite of this some people think that such devices are too cold and stark, and as a consequence, want them to be warm and natural. Taking into consideration this fact Michael Laut decided to create a natural smartphone.

The unique feature is the Bamboo casing, which actually has some benefits over plastic, including its stronger build, lighter weight and far more environmentally friendly production.Need we ask for more from a smartphone??

The German woman had suffered from chronic headaches and nosebleeds after falling at age 4 with the writing implement in hand. “The pencil went right through my skin and disappeared into my head,” she said. It was too risky at the time to remove the three-inch object, which did not pierce any vital parts of her brain. But thanks to significant technological improvements, this summer surgeons in Berlin were able to remove all but the pencil’s tip.

The ‘ Transparent Toaster ‘ designed by Inventables uses special heating glass to warma single slice of bread. (You sure as hell wont worry bout burning your toast after this !). The company’s R&D team is still working on this concept model because unfortunately, the glass does not reach a high enough temperature (at this time) to actually toast the bread.
